I just put this between my monitor control and the speakers, and it works GREAT! If you really wanna hear what your system can do, you need to pay attention to crossover freqs!
I have one complaint: Once you have it dialed in, adjustments are hair-sized! A very slight turn of the knobs makes large differences. That's what you end up with with a small form factor like this one.
Good piece of gear.
So I was happy to see that this device would not (I thought) add another DC 'wall wart'-style adapter to the inside of my crate. I was dismayed to see that what I received does not match the pictures here in that regard.
Otherwise, the unit does exactly what I'd hoped, and for a very competitive price. The noise floor is noticable, but not to the point of annoyance. When I want something that is quieter, I know I will be spending a little more than this.
